Canarium odontophyllum, also known as the ‘dabai’ fruit, is a species of tropical fruit-bearing tree native to Southeast Asia. It is a member of the Burseraceae family, which includes other economically important trees such as frankincense and myrrh.
The tree can grow up to 30 meters tall, with a trunk diameter of up to 60 centimeters. Its leaves are large, pinnate, and glossy green in color, while its flowers are small and yellowish in color.
The fruit of the Canarium odontophyllum tree, also known as dabai fruit, is roughly oval-shaped and ranges in size from 2 to 4 centimeters in length.
