Add a bold and modern twist to your houseplant collection with the striking Hoya retusa – a rare and exotic trailing plant that turns heads with its fine, ribbon-like foliage and adorable white star-shaped flowers with a crimson center.
Unlike the more common thick-leaved Hoyas, Hoya retusa stands out with its soft, narrow leaves that cascade elegantly, making it ideal for hanging baskets or elevated shelves. Its blooms appear sporadically but are always a delightful surprise – waxy, perfectly formed, and lightly fragrant.
Native to India and other parts of Southeast Asia, this Hoya enjoys bright indirect light, minimal watering, and a bit of humidity – making it an easy-care beauty for plant lovers of all levels.
? Why You’ll Love It:
✅ Rare, eye-catching Hoya variety
✅ Elegant trailing growth with grassy leaves
✅ Unique star-shaped white blooms
✅ Great for modern or minimal indoor spaces
✅ Low maintenance and pet-friendly
? Care Tips:
-
Light: Bright, indirect sunlight
-
Water: Let the topsoil dry out between waterings
-
Humidity: Prefers moderate humidity (mist occasionally)
-
Soil: Use a chunky, well-draining mix
-
Fertilizer: Monthly feeding during active growth with a balanced fertilizer
Whether you’re building a rare plant collection or looking for a graceful, exotic trailing plant, Hoya retusa brings personality and beauty in the most minimalist form. ?✨
